Selling Your Litter

This information may be useful if you are having a litter for the first time

When you got your bitch as a puppy the breeder would have given you her kennel club registration document? The bitch would then have been transfered into your name. If you are breeding from your bitch make sure this was done! please be aware that you will not be able to register her with the kennel club unless the breeder has given you the kc document. Even if you have seen documents to prove both her parents were kc registered your bitch is not if you were not given her papers at the time of purchase!

If your bitch is L2/GHA & HC clear this will be on her kc papers as heridatary clear

If you want to register and sell your litter as L2/GHA & HC clear, and its not on her registration documents, you will need to get her tested, you can down load the required forms on our mating tips page. When you get the results back from the AHT you need to photo copy them and send them to the kennel clubs health and information department, before you register your litter.

At the mating the owner of the stud, will give you a litter registration form with the stud dogs details on, this form is used for registering the litter. We send this to the kennel club when the pups are 4 weeks old , giving enough time to get them back in time to give to new owners on collection of the pup. We would not collect a pup with out the kc paper work, or expect any body to collect a pup from us with out being able to sign over a pup correctly to the new owner. this form is also required to activate the 6 weeks free insurance.

Selling your puppies

We are very fortunate as we often have people waiting for a pup before they are born ,we even take deposits from the most suitable enquires. We never let anybody handle young pups ,early viewing can stress a new mum

viewing is best left untill the pups are 4 weeks old.

The most important thing to us is finding the best homes possible ,with people that understand the needs of a stafford, a young pup needs time for training and socialising, a lonely stafford is not a happy dog ,more than anything they love human company. we have found the fact we have paid a little more on our dogs and paid for the health testing,we seem to attract just the sort of familys we are looking for. Some people have looked long and hard for the right pup from the right breeder ,for a long while before selecting a pup from us ,they have given much thought into getting a pup, selling your litter is a big responsability if you make a mistake at this point the pup will pay! Our pups are normally ready at 7 weeks old,we are intersted in our pups for a life time and will allways ,offer surport and advise to new owners . We give a diet sheet, a worming and flea treatment record, a puppy pack containg food & a smelly blanket from mum to help them settle!

For a small fee (if using our stud dog Levi) you can addvertise your litter on our web page under future litters and pups available page

We price our pups on what we have paid for the parents ,we feel this is fair.
